Berrywood Stables nestles at the foot of the South Downs and close to what is recognised as being some of the best and most picturesque riding in the south of England.
Berrywood offers livery arrangements for all types of horses and its well-respected riding school offers both lessons for beginners and unbeatable hacking for the more experienced rider.
The stables are run by friendly and very experienced staff, who really care for the horses and want their livery owners and riding school clients to enjoy the area as much as they do themselves.
Excellent hacking, with minimal road work, is on the doorstep. A well-established bridleway network can be found within 200 yards of Berrywood, offering a choice of riding on the South Downs or the Heyshott and Ambersham Common.
Hacking on the South Downs usually takes between 2 and 4 hours and suits most moderate to experienced riders, offering an unbeatable range of open grassy paths and pretty woodland tracks - a day trip to a local pub at the heart of the South Downs Way is also possible!
The bridleway network of the Heyshott and Ambersham Common is within 10 minutes easy walk of Berrywood and offers the possibility of hacks of between 1 and 2 hours.
Berrywood is a well-established yard with a friendly atmosphere and happy horses - well worth a visit!
